Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui receives Green Hotel Award, Gold Level

Centara Grand Beach Resort Samui is honoured to have received a Green Hotel Award, Gold Level from Prime Minister, General Prayuth Chan-o-cha during the opening of the 2015 World Environment Day at the Royal Paragon Hall, Siam Paragon, Bangkok.

In keeping with Centara’s current environmental and sustainability initiatives, the recognition from the Department of Environmental Quality Promotion, which launched the Environmentally Friendly Hotel (Green Hotel) project, signifies the hard work, the forward progress and positive direction that Centara is going in.

Our resort has engaged in effective waste management practices by recycling organic waste from the kitchen into effective microorganisms (EM) water, which helps to reduce the sludge in the water and can be used as fertilizer for plants, decreasing the impacts upon the environment. The knowledge about EM water is also being shared with the local community.

Jazz it up with Alvin Davis'™ Asian Tour

This October British Saxophonist Alvin Davis will be touring Thailand in association with Centara Hotels & Resorts. Alvin will be playing smooth Jazz tunes from his previous albums and introducing his sixth album which consists of Jazzy cover tracks from a variety of different artists ranging from Pharrell Williams to Avicii.

Join our beach party on 25^th October or our Jazz, Wine & Cheese evening at Palm Grove Restaurant on 26^th October.  The beach party with BBQ buffet dinner is priced at THB 990++ per person and the Jazz, Wine & Cheese dinner at Palm Grove Restaurant is at THB 890++ per person.
