Diving

With a choice of dive sites considered as being amongst the world’s most fascinating, the Andaman Sea is a tropical paradise for diving enthusiasts. Crystal clear waters, stunning limestone formations dominating the horizon, and splendid corals are the key ingredients to the region’s popularity with divers. To the east side of the island lie Shark Point, Anemone Reef, the King Cruiser shipwreck and the Phi Phi Islands, all of which suitable for one-day dive trips. The paradise islands of Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi, off the southern tip of Phuket, present thrilling drift dives with great visibility, while the Hin Daeng offshore pinnacle has vertical drop-offs of 60 metres and more. Diverse marine life, including whale sharks and leopard sharks, and colourful corals are highlights of the Andaman Sea diving experience. 

Railay Bay

Found to the west of Ao Nang and divided into two sections, Railay Bay is a world-renowned spot for rock climbing against a stunning backdrop of crystal-clear waters and mangroves, and there is also a picturesque beach surrounded by intriguing verdant cliffs. Railay Bay is acessible by boat from the shores of Ao Nang and Nopparatthara.

Ao Nang

A short speedboat ride away from the resort, the buzz of Ao Nang, with its endless shopping opportunities and great choice of restaurants, many of them specialising in fresh local seafood, is a highlight for travellers to Krabi. Swaying palm trees and limestone formations share the landscape at Ao Nang Beach, one of the most popular beaches along the coast.

Koh Phi Phi

With long stretches of powdery white sand spilling into crystal clear waters, towering limestone cliffs and jungle-clad interiors, the six islands that make up Koh Phi Phi truly have everything one would expect of a tropical paradise. Phi Phi Ley, home to popular Maya Bay, Bamboo Island, Yung Island, Bida Nok, and Bida Nai are unspoiled islands protected by their National Park status and surrounded by crystal clear waters teeming with exotic marine life making them popular options for snorkelling and diving day trips from Krabi. 

Phang Nga Bay

Emerald green waters, picturesque towering rocks and intriguing caves make Phang Nga Bay one of Southeast Asia’s most remarkable maritime landscapes. This national park lying in the Strait of Malacca is comprised of over 40 islands, including James Bond Island named after featuring in the movie The Man with the Golden Gun. The island also appears in the later Tomorrow Never Dies. Set in Phang Nga Bay is the charming and unspoiled Koh Yao Noi, known for its air of authenticity and breathtaking vistas.
